Examinations – Years 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
Next term will be a very busy term for students, with examinations running from Tuesday 26 April through to Friday 1 July. Please view our examinations page which contains up-to-date information and generic timetables – please keep an eye on this page for updates! Please see below for specific year group information.
Year 9
Year 9 assessment week is Tuesday 3 to Tuesday 10 May. In class assessments will take place between Tuesday 3 and Friday 6 May. On Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 May, Year 9 will do their Science, Maths and Religious Studies assessments under formal exam conditions, so that they can see what it is like when you take an exam. There will be friendly staff around to help students if they are not sure about anything, and information will be sent home regarding expectations for exam conditions. Students will be getting their own timetable for these two examinations to their school email address, this will be sent out next week. We will also send a copy home via email so that you can talk to your young person about any concerns they might have. Please make sure your child knows which venue they will need to go to (this will be on their timetable).
Year 10
Year 10 pre-public examinations will now be taking place week commencing 27 June. Timetables will be released during term 5 to student school email addresses and copied home to parents. We will also be sending out information about expectations for conduct during examinations, and confirmation of any agreed access arrangements.
Year 12
Year 12 will already have received their individual PPE timetables, and the general PPE timetable can be found as a PDF download here. Students should refer to their individual timetables for resolution of clashes and details of the venue they need to attend for each exam.
Years 11 and 13
Students will shortly be receiving their timetables for the summer examinations – the main GCE timetable and GCSE timetable are already available on the website. Most external examinations will run between Monday 16 May and Tuesday 28 June, and students must be available until and including Wednesday 29 June. We will also be sending out information about expectations for conduct during examinations, and confirmation of any agreed access arrangements. Please ensure that you know when your young person has examinations timetabled and help them to be exam ready on the day.
